So what’s it for anyway? – Recumbent Brompton Project 3

For the past week I’ve been riding the Brompton recumbent around town and a couple of shortish (10-15 miles) rides out into the country.

Having overhauled my old red 2003 Brompton and re-installed the Juliane Neuss recumbent kit, with a single chain drive to replace the old belt and chain setup, I’ve ridden it round the block and it all seems to work. (more…)

Some interesting luggage photographed at the BWC and pre-ride last October (2009). I lost the notes I made on the day so if anybody can tell me about suppliers or the names of the stylish Bromptonistas portrayed I’ll be grateful.

The day before the Brompton World Championships, Brompton organised a ride through central London for participants, especially popular with international visitors. Here are some photos followed by a short video clip:

The fourth of these rather wonderful events was held at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, UK early in October 2009. Previous World Championships were held at Blenheim (2008) and Barcelona (2006, 2007). Here is the official website.
